Um, THE BOX is based on a Matheson short story that was made into a TWILIGHT ZONE episode... so this short is the rip off.

The Box hasn't ripped this off, they're all remakes of a short story called 'Button, Button'. Twilight Zone made an episode about it in 85. Not sure if anyone did anything before that. The main guy in the suit is good, the other guy isnt brilliant. Overacting.

I saw this short film quite a while ago (like years!). When "The Box" came out, I instantly thought of this and had to watch it again. I almost did think "The Box" had ripped it off from this short film, but reading the information in the side bar has enlightened me. Thanks! p.s. This short film is 1000x's better than "The Box." That movie was HORRIBLE!!

Everything was original. It was thought up while brainstorming for another short film, and developed from there. They created storyboards for every frame, and used After Effects to flood the picture for a spaceless look. Do some research before you spread slander.
